Xiaomi CC series has not been updated in 2020, sparking speculation among many users that the lineup is being abandoned. In response, Xiaomi’s product manager denied it.

Xiaomi’s product manager @Cici_老魏 recently said on Weibo that the Xiaomi CC series has not been abandoned and still exists.

Lei Jun, founder, chairman, and CEO of Xiaomi, said in 2019 that Xiaomi’s product line includes the Xiaomi numeric series, the Xiaomi CC series, and the Xiaomi MIX series.

The launch of the Xiaomi CC series in 2019 caused quite a stir as the Xiaomi CC 9 Pro’s 100-megapixel primary camera tied for first place with Huawei’s flagship model on Chinese reviewer DXOMARK.

The Xiaomi CC series, whose main selling point is photography, is up against the Huawei nova series, the OPPO Reno series, and the Vivo X series.

The release date of the new Xiaomi CC series is still uncertain, but the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 series processor will be released soon, and the new models equipped with it are expected to debut in Q1 this year.
